WEEK 16!

Well... we have approached week 16 today! VERY EXCITING...
I have definitely left the nausea behind and have regained my energy and back at the gym for my workouts. I am beginning to feel like myself again... just with a glow and a bump!

Eating is still somewhat of challenge... don't get me wrong, I definitely have an appetite. I am still questionable at times when it comes to eating meat. As most of you know, I only eat chicken, turkey and some fish. Lately, any time I would eat chicken or turkey I would get a few bites in and be done from the nausea. Well... it's getting better, but I still can not eat a full meal of a meat product because the taste just gets to me.

Frank and I are getting ready to begin the fun project at home... the nursery! I am very excited to paint and re-paint his old bedroom furniture for "Baby BOG". I will post pictures as we go!

ON OTHER NEWS!...Frank and I have been pretty busy lately... he has baseball games and we have had group events. We spent a day with our friends and god-children at a local festival one day, went to a minor league baseball game, spent time with my parents, I spent a day with my best girls, and recently went to our god-children's dedication!

Week 14!

Well... it is week 14 today! Very exciting...

Every other week (even weeks that is!... because I am OCD) I take a photo of myself to decide if I want to share with everyone the "baby bump". I have always been self-concious of my weight and not sure if I really "looked" pregnant or if it was just me not going to the gym lately because I have no energy. Well... I think today is the day to start!

I was out and about this afternoon and a woman asked me, "what are you having?" Obvioulsy, she could tell that I was pregnant. What do you think?

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Asheville and Baby "BOG"

Last week was a busy week for me... the organization that I work for held their Annual Meeting/Summer Convention in Asheville, North Carolina at the Inn on Biltmore Estates. The hotel was gorgeous and very extravagant! I definitely encourage you to take your spouse/significant other for a weekend getaway!

Our event started on Thursday with Board meetings all day and an evening reception. Friday and Saturday were just morning meetings and evening functions so I was able to enjoy my afternoons. Frank played in the Annual Golf Tournament on Friday so Jennifer and I took on the Biltmore house a few miles away. We did the audio tour... it was phenomenal! Here are a few photos of our walk to the nearby "village" to have lunch.

On Saturday, Frank, Jennifer and I went back to the Biltmore house to venture through the gardens. What a breath of fresh air! Check out a few of the flowers and sites!

We returned home on Sunday afternoon and spent a few hours with my parents and sister catching up before heading over to our friends (Jennifer & Jerri's) for a cookout celebration of the 4th of July! I even got to meet my best friends new man! It was definitely a fun time with our group... there is never a dull moment!

BABY "BOG"
It was an exciting week for Frank and me! We got to hear the baby's heartbeat on Wednesday! The heartbeat was 168... the average for this stage is between 150 - 180. The doctor was very happy! I did lose a pound since last month... but we expected that since I have had a hard time eating although my appetite is not gone.

I have begun to feel as though my energy is slowly coming back! Which means gym time!! I will be glad to get back in there and start walking and using light weights again... I need it!

Frank and I... well, mostly me!... are excited to get going on the baby's registry this weekend! My sister's/sista-cuz (Hilary and Jenni) are planning the baby shower and Hilary keeps mentioning that I need to get started on the registry. I thought she was crazy from excitement but after I did a little research... it turns out she was right (don't tell her I said that!). Apparently the norm is to start around 12 weeks to allow time if you like to research items and recalls... yes I do, thank you!

LET THE FUN BEGIN!! BTW... we also picked a them for the baby's room! Although we are not finding out the gender of our baby, we love the idea of frogs and turtles. And let me tell you... it is hard to find a that theme with little blue everywhere! But we did! So... the room will be painted in the light green with a brown accent strip around the room and white furniture!

Maybe next week I will share a belly photo!!
