Old Friends
This past weekend I had the opportunity to meet up with a few friends from high school. We try our best to keep in touch through the years, but we always manage to meet back up in the biggest moments of each of our lives. This one... was for Brandy's baby shower! She looks magnificant... happy and full of joy for this new adventure that her and her husband will soon enjoy! I can't express how happy I am for her... CONGRATS BRANDY AND DAN! The both of you will be the best Mom and Dad... aside from Sarah and Brandon ;-)!

Kayla Update
Kayla had another vet check-up on Tuesday... she is now 11 lbs and received a "Healthy" status. She is growing at a normal rate! Her tail and paws have grown a little more and she has added a few inches in length.
McGraw has become a great "big brother" to Kayla... he is more protective at work and around the house. As each day goes by, they play more and more with each other! They are absolutely adorable together!

Kayla's First Week
Kayla is coming up on her first week of being in the Blanton/Sims family! Frank and I both believe that she is a perfect fit... although McGraw doesn't always agree with us! He is still coming to terms that he has a little sister to contend with.
Frank and I always make sure that we tend to McGraw first... Kayla second. It is important that McGraw still feels that he is #1 and the dominant dog! But on the other hand... when you see them play together, it's awesome! McGraw is always playing at her level and you can tell his guard is up a little more when he is relaxing!
Kayla is doing great on her potty training, only a few accidents inside. We have her in a temporary kennel during the night (for accident purposes) and she has adjusted to being in there, but definitely not without a fight the first couple of nights! She loves to play and has a lot of spunk! She definitely likes to tease McGraw, but also feels a sense of security with him. She likes to lay with him when they are napping!
